Full Roof Replacement and Rooftop Paver Installation

Our team was tasked with the removal and replacement of the roof on this 15-story high-rise, a project that required careful planning due to its location in a densely populated downtown area. In addition to the roofing work, a sophisticated paver system was installed to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the building’s rooftop.

Given the high-rise nature of Erieview Tower, the project presented several unique challenges. Safety was the primary concern, as the team had to work at great heights in a busy downtown area, requiring fall protection systems, secure access points, and precise staging of materials. Logistical challenges included the need to transport materials and equipment to the roof, often requiring cranes and street closures, disrupting the local traffic and businesses. Adverse weather conditions could also impact both the timeline and the budget for the project.

The Solution

Expert Execution and Seamless Coordination

Warren Roofing® overcame these challenges with skillful execution and careful planning. The team began by removing the existing roof and installing a temporary torch-applied modified roofing system to protect the building during the process. Afterward, tapered insulation was installed, followed by a TPO roofing system. The final touch was the installation of a sophisticated paver and pedestal system, which provided both a durable surface and an elevated aesthetic look for the rooftop.

Throughout the project, Warren Roofing® coordinated closely with other contractors on-site to ensure smooth and efficient progression. This included coordination with companies responsible for the installation of the pool and other structural elements on the building.

The process involved tear-off of the old roofing system, installation of temporary roofing for weather protection, followed by the precise installation of insulation, TPO roofing, and the high-end paver system.
