The Country Club

The View: The Country Club

Preserving Tradition, Protecting Investment

The Country Club, a prestigious facility in Pepper Pike, Ohio, known for its rich history and commitment to excellence, required a comprehensive roof replacement. The aging built-up roofing (BUR) system had deteriorated over time, causing leaks and inefficiencies. With a complex roof structure and distinct architectural features, The Country Club needed a specialized commercial roofing contractor who could address both the technical challenges and the aesthetic demands, including copper craftsmanship. Warren Roofing® stepped in, bringing years of expertise and a proven track record of successful projects to ensure the facility remains protected for years to come.

The Job

Roof Tear-Off and TPO Roof Installation

Warren Roofing® was selected based on our successful track record with AM Higley and other clients. Our reputation for handling both flat and sloped roofs, combined with our expertise in managing complex logistical challenges, made us the ideal contractor for this project. Our ability to integrate detailed copper work and meet the facility’s high standards for aesthetics was a key factor in securing this project.

The Challenge

Varying Roof Levels and Access Points

The job presented several challenges due to varying roof levels and tight access points. With multiple roof sections, precise crane coordination was necessary to move materials safely, and the team executed a phased approach to ensure smooth workflow and minimize disruptions to The Country Club’s operations. Additionally, the custom copper standing seam panels on the bay windows were a critical aesthetic component. Our team applied expert craftsmanship to ensure precision, durability, and seamless integration with the existing design.

The Solution

A New, Sloped TPO Roof

The Country Club faced a failing BUR roofing system that had outlived its lifespan, leading to leaks and insulation damage. Warren Roofing® replaced the old system with a sloped TPO roof that enhances drainage, energy efficiency, and overall durability. This solution addresses both technical needs and aesthetic concerns, ensuring the facility’s longevity and appearance.

Materials Used:

  • TPO Roofing Membrane
  • Sloped Polyiso Insulation
  • Custom Fabricated Copper Standing Seam Panels – Designed specifically for the bay window sections to preserve the architectural integrity.

The Process

Strategic Planning and Precise Execution

The roofing project at The Country Club began with careful planning to minimize disruptions to the client’s operations. The first step involved the careful removal of the old BUR system, which was done using cranes to hoist debris off the multiple roof levels. This was a crucial part of the process as the varying roof heights and tight access points posed unique logistical challenges. After the tear-off was completed, the team focused on repairing the underlying substrates and addressing any structural issues. The crew then installed high-performance insulation to ensure optimal energy efficiency and a stable foundation for the new roof.

Next, the team proceeded with the installation of the TPO roofing membrane, which was mechanically fastened and heat-welded to ensure a seamless, watertight roofing system. This process not only enhanced the durability and weather resistance of the roof but also improved drainage, making the entire structure more energy-efficient. A critical part of the project involved the custom copper work above the bay windows. The standing seam copper panels were carefully crafted and installed to maintain the architectural integrity of the building, ensuring the new roof would blend harmoniously with the facility’s existing design.

Throughout the process, Warren Roofing® coordinated with mechanical contractors to accommodate rooftop HVAC units and made sure the work did not interfere with other building systems. The final stages included a thorough inspection and walkthrough with the client to ensure all aspects of the project met the highest standards of quality. The result was a fully functional and aesthetically pleasing roof that would provide long-term protection and enhance the building’s curb appeal.

The Results

A Lasting Roof With Timeless Appeal

Warren Roofing® ensured that the new roof not only met the highest industry standards but also maintained the building’s aesthetic integrity. Our skilled copper work and efficient handling of logistical challenges resulted in a project that was completed on time and exceeded client expectations.
